Returning TLP & SA members Cathy Mancheski, Contract Manager, Schneider Logistics (left) and Debbie Maass, Pres., Hannic Freight Forwarders, share thoughts on the various program meetings.
Transportation Loss Prevention & Security Association (TLP&SA), Inc. Mission Statement: TLP&SA is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to (1) provide continuing Professional Educaton to cargo claims professionals and their insurers, cargo security professionals, and law enfocement; (2) facilitate practical and effective communications between carrier and insurance personnel and law enforcement; (3) to engage in legal and legislative advocacy on behalf of the membership. This was a congregation of shippers, receivers, carriers and 3PLs joining together to develop better communication along with a clearer understanding of the risks in our business and how to prevent the associated problems and/or to reduce our exposure. There was a noticeable change in attitude from previous meetings where the prevailing winds were in placing blame to how can we work together to prevent these problems. ~DM |
