Please allow us to introduce ourselves.

Hannic is a mover of dry, refrigerated and frozen food commodities via truck. We specialize in transportation services for time-sensitive, highly-perishable products.

By statue, the term "freight forwarder" means a person holding itself out to the general public (other than as a pipeline, rail, motor, or water carrier) to provide transportation of property for compensation and in the ordinary course of its business

• (A) assembles and consolidates, or provides for assembling and consolidating, shipments and performs or provides for break-bulk and distribution operations of the shipments;
• (B) assumes responsibility for the transportation from the place of receipt to the place of destination; and
• (C) uses for any part of the transportation a carrier subject to jurisdiction under this subtitle [49 USCS §§ 10101 et seq.].¹

Our main focus is on the communication required between all parties involved, as this is the key to a smooth and trouble-free transaction. Hannic's office is structured so that all load facilitators are up-to-speed on all movements currently in progress. Our office is also in direct contact with the person behind the wheel 24/7 for any additional instructions or clarifications, if necessary. Our transport staff work together to be one contact, one call—for all loads, customers and carriers. Start to finish.

We use all of the modern communication tools available: landlines, mobile phone, fax, email, web tracing, EDI, GPS. We are also willing to upgrade to any new technologies your business may require. Hannic is a member of TIA (Transportation Intermediaries Association), the Better Business Bureau and the SmartWay Transportation Partnership. Our personnel stay up-to-date with current industry trends by attending periodic trade meetings held by TIA and other associations; one of the regular presenters at many of these seminars is RJ Ahmann Company, the same insurance company Hannic has been with since its inception.
